Tired

An artist

With hands so graceful

So free

That puts others artwork to shame

is tired

So tired of living up to people’s expectation

He knows he isn’t a Picasso

Nor a Da Vinci

But people want him to be more than that

But

He’s still that amateur

Who has that free spirit

He’s still that assistant sous chef in a restaurant

Who loves his food

He isn’t holding that 3 star Michelin that everyone expects

He is still human

But no

They want us to hold the universe in our hands

They want us to be even better than Amrita Puri

They want us to be that Black Swan which Natalie Portman became

Why do they fail to understand

That we are still that ballerina who hasn’t mastered her plié

We still are that poet who isn’t perfect at forming words

We still are that aspiring musician of jazz

We still are that growing stem into a trunk

It is hard

But why?

Why do they have to do this?? We are also just like them “Rome was not build in a day”

Then, why do you want us to ?

Why can’t we just be ourselves?

After climbing the MT. Everest

All we get is respect and appreciation

After that?

Nothing!

Only we do is inspire

Why can’t we tell our children “Don’t be big, be a human”

Happiness is wealth

Not the other way around

I want my childhood back

At least I was carefree at that time

I didn’t give a damn about the world

But today, infants have lost that too

Now,

I just want to fucking sleep through the catastrophe.

Like Aurora

Only this time

I wake up when

Death comes knocking at my door.

P.S if you like it, share and comment on the same.
